Maori Leadership

Hinengaro Matauranga o te Akonga

A programme aimed at developing Maori leadership commenced in 2007.  Parents of Year 8 Maori students and their teachers are invited to nominate students based on criteria which has been set in consultation with both the local community and the Pouwhakataki from the Ministry of Education.  Students are placed in an option class to support and extend them as leaders within the school and community.
