They also adopted the stylised 'X' as their logo to depict the pixels of digital imaging, the foundation of the second office revolution.

The Uniform Shoppe

In 1955 Ray and Ellen (Nell) Underwood opened a shop in Station Road they called “Underwood’s”. They sold haberdashery, buttons, manchester, fabrics, lace and trims, hosiery, and ladies’ basic underwear.

In 1996 the shop was moved from its original premises on Station Road in Manurewa, to a larger premises on the Great South Road as more and more schools requested that Underwood’s handle their uniform requirements. The decision was made to abandon all other product and focus solely on school uniforms and casual corporate wear, workwear, sportswear for small to medium size organizations and re-branded as The Uniform Shoppe.

Since that time The Uniform Shoppe has opened stores in Papakura, Papatoetoe and Whangaparaoa.

In 2005 the company purchased a store in Pukekohe which also encompassed corporate, workwear, sportswear and medical uniforms.  All the stores are supported by a Support Office and Distribution Team.
