For the first time last year, Manurewa High School students were offered an opportunity to experience work within the media industry. Four year 13 students from the school successfully put together a story for Tagata Pasifika (TVNZ) which went to air on 3 December 2009.
The four students - Aloisia Ngata, Ashley Tahapehi, Tara-Lee Waaka-Perham, Kamilla Whitehira - directed and filed a report about the South Auckland Polynesian band, City of Missiles, who are making a name for themselves in the hard-rock music scene.
