The Waharau Outdoor Education Centre Trust incorporates a lodge, five chalets and an ablutions block. There is a large courtyard in front of the lodge and the chalets are situated discreetly in the Kanuka around the lodge. Staff Chalet: Accommodates twelve people in two rooms with a staff resource room between Chalet Kauri. Lodge and Kitchen:
The lodge has a fully equipped kitchen and tables and chairs Ablution Block: This
block has four girls' toilets, three girls' showers, three Chalets: There are four divided huts each able to sleep 2 x 10 people. The Barn is not leased and is the property of the four schools and is out of bounds. Care and respect of these facilities follow common sense rules, however these points must be stressed:- *
No matches or candles in the chalets Ropes Course: This exciting new development was constructed in 1997. It allows groups a unique opportunity to develop team and communication skills. The course must be booked separately to the Centre and groups using the ropes course must have an approved, qualified Instructor. (Contact Heinz Ofner) Otherwise this area is out of bounds and no liability will be accepted.
