Art into sport

Helping to beautify the community, Year 10 students Sonatane Kaufusi, Jasmine Faust, Crystal Laphoukhio, and Roanna Ponifasio have just put the finishing touches on a mural for Gallaher Park.

The giant 8m x 2.5m mural was designed by teachers Krichelle Lord and Adele Whittaker. They also appreciated the support of recent alumni Alexandra Newman and Ebony Komene on the project.

The mural is one of three that will be created on facilities within Gallaher Park, as part of a competition run by the Manukau Beautification Trust. The winning mural will be announced on 5 December.
