Following the huge success of last year, Manurewa High School will host another Health Expo from 16-18 September.

Our Year 12 and 13 health students have identified issues in the school community and are busy preparing for their health promotion assessments that run alongside the expo.  Last year was so successful our school was asked to be a Health Promoting School (a national kitemark standard).  Some of the issues our students will  address at this year’s expo are:
•                   Drug and alcohol use
•                   Depression
•                   Anger management
•                   Youth suicide
•                   Safe sex and teenage pregnancy
•                   Nutrition
•                   Anti-homophobic bullying
•                   Physical safety/self defence
•                   Contraception & STI’s
•                   Bullying

Wednesday September 18th is our Blood Donation Day in the hall.

If you would like to participate in the Health Expo or promote any aspect of health please contact Tracey Dravitzki, email [email protected].
