DEPUTY PRINCIPAL

We are one of the largest multicultural schools in New Zealand, with around 2000 students representing more than 50 nationalities, a true reflection of Auckland.

We are led strongly by our values of Respect, Excellence, Whanaungatanga and Akoranga. They guide how we work together as a school community and our student motivation and achievement is strong (consistently at or above the national average) through the hard work and dedication of a caring and professional staff.

The school is determined to build on its current success by providing a quality education which meets the needs of its students by the inclusion of a relevant and engaging curriculum, embedded values and future pathways.

We are seeking pedagogical leaders with strong educational practices and the drive, energy and ability to work with the current Senior Leadership Team of a Principal and four other Deputy Principals. We are looking for leaders who will be:

• Committed to improvement in academic achievement for underperforming groups (Maori & Boys) across all levels

• Adept at implementing strategies that allow us to continue to develop our culturally responsive pedagogy and strengthen cultural identity across our school community

• Confident in contributing to the implementation of an integrated & responsive learning environment for aspects of all our curriculum, that effectively uses technology to enhance teaching and learning

• Experience in curriculum design and working with staff implementing successful change

This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to take the next step in their leadership development.

Duties commence January 2019 or negotiated with the successful candidate.
