Following the announcement by the Prime Minister today on the shift to COVID19 Alert Level 2 advising that schools are safe environments for students and staff to return to, we can now share some further information regarding students returning to Manurewa High School under Alert Level 2.
Students to return to school Monday 8 March 2021
As with previous alert levels, increased hygiene practices will continue throughout the school
If a student continues to self-isolate during Alert Level 2, please inform the school
Return to School On Monday 8 March we welcome back all aakonga. Please go straight to your Kaitiaki class at 9am on Monday to collect your timetable.
Bus Services Buses will resume on Monday 8 March 2021.
Breakfast Club/Café/School Lunch Programme Supply of meals to students through the breakfast club, café and school lunch programme will be provided/purchased using a non-contact payment and pick up system. Food will be prepared as takeaway food. Hygiene and safety are our number one consideration before we continue to provide any sit-down options to students in these spaces. Free school lunches will commence on Monday 8 March.
Illness If your child is unwell, please do not send them to school. Please email [email protected] or phone the attendance number 0800 102 132 to inform us of their absence.
Be assured that if a student or staff member becomes unwell and shows symptoms, we will send them home immediately.

Attendance The Ministry of Education have advised us that it is now safe for students to return to school. However, we understand families will make the best decision for them and their personal circumstances. Those unsure of whether your child should be attending school are advised to contact your family doctor for guidance.
